SATURDAY CAMPAIGN GHOSTBUSTING, BESTFRIEND! 👻 Before that promotion disappears into the night…did we save what it taught us? 👀
Before the campaign becomes a ghost, capture the evidence.
If you planned the promotion, wrote the posts, sent the emails, designed the graphics, coordinated the event, launched the offer, or kept the whole campaign moving while everybody else was asking, ‘Are we posting today?’—YAAASSSSSSSSSS! 🔥 BestFriend, YOU DID THAT! HYPE THAT UP! Now please do not let all that work vanish when the holiday, launch, event, or sale ends. Create a simple campaign closeout record while the details are still fresh. Save the objective, intended audience, offer, key message, dates, channels, budget, links, creative files, email subject lines, landing-page copy, screenshots, tracking setup, and any changes you made after launch. Then capture the evidence that matches the goal: qualified replies, clicks, saves, sign-ups, inquiries, bookings, purchases, revenue, attendance, cost per result, conversion rate, customer questions, team observations, and the exact language people used. Do not grade the campaign by reach alone if the real goal was sales, Pooh. A big number can be exciting and still answer the wrong question. 😭 Give each channel enough time for its reporting and attribution window, then write three short notes: what worked well enough to repeat, what created friction or confusion, and what you would test differently next time. Add context too. A website outage, late approval, tiny audience, weather problem, changed budget, sold-out inventory, or unexpected viral post can affect the numbers. Clock it: a campaign postmortem is not a meeting where everybody gathers to blame the person who made the flyer. Whew. It is how the business keeps the WIN, protects the learning, and stops valuable evidence from getting trapped in somebody’s memory. No shame if the campaign was imperfect, the tracking missed a piece, or the response was quieter than you hoped. You still built assets, gathered signals, and learned something the next move can use. BestFriend works beside business owners to organize the evidence, recognize what proximity may hide, turn the lesson into a focused strategy, and provide hands-on implementation for the next campaign. The campaign can end. The value does not have to. Periodt, Pooh! 💙
